Working with a therapist can give you a fresh perspective on your habits and life experiences. It’s an opportunity to explore new ways to approach challenges and create meaningful changes.
If you’re thinking about making changes or trying something different, this could be a helpful next step.
-
You don't need your partner in therapy to start making your relationship better. When you focus on your own growth and understanding, you can change how things work between you. In therapy, we will look at your habits, how you communicate, and how you feel, and give you new ways to handle your relationship.
Often, the journey to positive change starts with just one person deciding to take action!
-
I understand you want to feel better quickly. Many people start to notice positive changes early in the process, especially with regular attendance of sessions and being open to trying new ideas.
How long therapy takes depends on what you want to address, how deeply you want to explore your concerns, and a pace that feels good for you.
-
You'll ‘feel done' when you see the changes you wanted and worked on are appearing in your everyday life, generally without effort - like dealing with situations in new ways or living in a more aligned way.
You’ll feel like you have the tools and confidence to keep growing on your own.
-
I recommend seeing new clients for weekly sessions at the same time each week to help establish a steady routine and build progress. I want you to be gaining traction and momentum for your changes!
As we start to see consistent and lasting improvements in your well-being, you and I evaluate your needs and review session frequency.

Yes, I do! As I wrote on my current home page, we all need relationship help at times. All means all!
I intentionally invite men into this space for individual therapy to help reduce the stigma around seeking support and being in therapy. And I’m still working on other pages for my website - works in progress!

This is your time and space to talk about anything that helps you reflect on where you are now and where you’re going in your life - relationships, values, social expectations, sexuality, life transitions, dreams, death & dying, current events, loss, grief, gender expectations, thoughts of harming yourself or other, celebrations, worries, hopes … just to name a few.
In short - while some topics might feel difficult to discuss - in our space together, there are no off-limit topics.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of your journey. A good fit will depend on how you feel comfortable and supported and connected to your potential therapist's approach and style.
In our first few sessions, we’ll get a sense of how we work together and whether it feels like a good match for your needs. If at any point you feel like we’re not the right fit, that’s okay. We can talk about it, and I’m happy to help you explore other options.
The most important thing is that you feel understood and supported as you do your work and that you can be brave in our space.

I provide online therapy only for adults aged 18+ in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota.
During our sessions, you must be physically located in Minnesota as this is the state in which I’m licensed. At times, I may ask you to send me a pin (CMA for audit purposes).
I get it - some of you may prefer in-person sessions, which means I’m not your person at this time. I miss the face-to-face interactions and handshakes too. But online therapy is effective for me and my current clients.
To be sure, meeting online has its perks - like no driving or traffic and not having to find parking. Plus, you get to enjoy your own comfortable space filled with your favorite things. And when we’re done you have the benefit of being in your own space for taking care of your post-session needs.

I charge $155 for a 60-minute session and $235 for a 90-minute session. Some people like the longer sessions because they provide more time for deeper work and processing.
I am not contracted as in-network with any insurance panels. I am considered an out-of-network provider and would be glad to provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for your possible reimbursement.
Please see my Rates-Hours-Info and Good Faith Estimate pages for more details.

I use a secure, privacy-compliant electronic payment service app called Ivy Pay.
Ivy Pay stores your credit card information for payment. I collect this information before our first session. Your payment will be processed the day of your session. There is no cost to you for this service.

I know life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans need to change. Your appointment is held just for you, and if you cancel late or miss it, it’s tough for me to offer that spot to someone else who might be interested in it.
If you need to cancel, please give me at least a 24-hour notice to avoid a late cancellation fee, as stated in my policy details. Thanks for your understanding and for helping me keep everything running smoothly.

Generally, you can expect something like this … I like to start with a brief check-in at the top of our time together before diving into your main topics. Then we move into discussing and processing what’s been coming up for you in life. Sometimes for the processing, I’ll be inviting you to ‘look inside’ to reflect on your patterns or challenges. And I always assign homework so you leave with practical work for helping you reach your goals.

I’d love for us to connect to get things started for you. You can click here to schedule your free, 20-minute consultation via phone or online. I’ll ask you about your current stressors and needs and tell you a bit about how I work. You’ll get to ask me questions. And while we’re on, we might decide to schedule your first session.
